About Willow Dental Hygiene
Salina Jain, BSc, RDH
Salina Jain was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology at Concordia University of Edmonton before moving to Toronto to pursue her Dental Hygiene Diploma, graduating with Honours in 2017.
After graduation, Salina worked in private dental practices across Ontario and Alberta, gaining experience in both rural and city settings. These diverse environments allowed her to refine her approach to providing gentle, thorough, and patient-centered hygiene care.
Salina has pursued additional certifications to expand the level of care she can provide for her patients. She is licensed to administer local anesthesia for pain management, prescribe medications related to dental hygiene treatment, and provide nitrous oxide sedation for patients who experience dental anxiety. These advanced skills allow her to deliver care that is both comprehensive and comfortable, ensuring each patient’s experience is as relaxed and supportive as possible.
She is dedicated to educating and supporting her patients in achieving optimal oral health while emphasizing the long-term value of preventive care. Salina strives to make every appointment as comfortable and stress-free as possible, ensuring patients feel at ease throughout their visit.
After several years in private practice, Salina was inspired to create her own clinical space in Edmonton. Willow Dental Hygiene Studio was founded on her belief that every patient deserves individualized care, accessibility, and a calm environment that supports their oral health journey.
Outside of the clinic, Salina enjoys staying active, discovering new places to eat, and traveling to new destinations with family and friends.
Why I Created Willow
After years of working in traditional dental office settings, I often felt that hygiene appointments were limited by time rather than tailored to patients. I wanted to create a space where I could slow things down — where every patient receives the time, attention, and comfort they deserve. That vision became Willow Dental Hygiene Studio.
My goal in creating Willow was to design a calm, welcoming environment focused on prevention and patient comfort. Every patient is different, and I believe dental hygiene care should reflect that. By customizing each appointment, I’m able to be thorough without rushing, and focus on what truly matters — helping patients maintain their oral health before it turns into a larger concern.
I also wanted Willow to be more accessible. By operating independently, I’m able to offer fees below the Alberta Dental Fee Guide, which means lower co-pays and better access to preventive care. For me, Willow represents more than just a clinic — it’s a place where patients can feel relaxed, informed, and cared for every step of the way.
